Teska was retained by the City of Galesburg to providing clear guidelines for specific park improvements within the context of the overall park system. The Park Master Plan provides the community with a better understanding of how the City's park and recreational facilities tie into long-range land use and community facility needs based on the recently adopted Galesburg and Knox County Comprehensive Plan.
The Master Plan report provides a description, evaluation, and recommendations for each park which received improvements between. In addition, new parks which have been added to the park system are also addressed. Specific recommendations were included along with a conceptual improvement plan for each evaluated park within the Master Plan Study.
