Teska Associates, Inc. was part of a five firm design team that developed a Master Appearance Plan for the redevelopment of 40 blocks of Evanston's downtown streetscape. Phase 1 efforts included a series of analytical workshops, assessment of existing conditions, design concepts and construction cost estimates on a block-by-block basis.
Phase 2 efforts included the development of concept design plans for each of the streets within the downtown special service area and project cost estimates prior to project funding. Concept plans and implementation details were developed for each of a dozen thematic design areas.
As a follow up to the Master Streetscape Plan, Teska developed streetscape plans for Church Street Plaza, a mixed-use urban development located in the heart of historic downtown Evanston. Included in the development are retail, restaurant and cinema tenants. The Plaza is within walking distance of Northwestern University and Lake Michigan.
