Located in the critical growth area of Kane County, the rural community of Elburn is in the path of the expanding Chicago metropolitan region. In response to rapid growth projected over the next 20 years, and an increasing number of large scale development proposals, the Village sought the services of Teska to assist it in effectively managing growth in a manner that seeks to retain the communities identity, while taking advantage of the benefits of new development. Teska is currently assisting Elburn in the review of plans for a mixed use Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) of approximately 3,000 units adjacent to the new Metra Station, and several large commercial projects. Serving as Village Consultant Planner, Teska also is responsible for site plan and landscape plan reviews, and zoning matters.
