Pulte Homes has a large presence in the Chicagoland housing market, and recently they have expanded into the upscale market. One of their first projects in this market is Prairie Creek--a 77-acre, 57-unit open space subdivision located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.
Teska designers prepared comprehensive landscape plans which include the restoration of Buffalo Creek, creation of naturalized meadows with native prairie plantings, preservation of existing wetlands and woodlands, informal streetscape plantings, aquatic gardens, and buffer plantings along Quentin and Cuba Roads. In additon, detailed site amenities were designed including limestone entry monuments, gazebos, trellis swings, wetland overlooks, and a 1.7 mile trailway system bisecting 35-acres of open space.
