Full landscape design services were provided to the Thomson Corporation as it developed Towne Centre, located in the City of Brookfield, Wisconsin. Towne Centre is a mixed use development, which includes a blend of unique retail stores, boutiques, and residential condominiums. The directive of the client was to create a development that celebrates the character, diversity, and scale of the third ward, a historic neighborhood located on the southside of Milwaukee.
Teska designers worked closely with the development team and the City of Brookfield to create a variety of unique pedestrian spaces that include a central pedestrian mall, interconnected green spaces, and a network of terraced plazas which integrate artwork. Landscape design elements include entry signage features, boulevard and street plantings, foundation plantings, perimeter plantings, outdoor lighting programs, paving designs, and a central pond overlook terrace.
