The former home of a Culligan water bottling plant is now one of the most prime pieces of redevelopment property on the North Shore of Chicago. Located at the intersection of I-294 and Willow Road, the 40 acre site provides easy access to surrounding high tech businesses and close proximity to O'Hare International Airport.
To capitalize on this prime location, a mixed use site plan has been developed that includes the corporate headquarters for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer, 70,000 s.f. of neighborhood retail, two hotels, and 153 attached residential units. The site plan developed by Teska, carefully ties together the various uses with interconnected and pedestrian friendly streets. The residential units take advantage of a series of alleys and auto-courts to limit the visual impact vehicles have on the streetscape. In addition a series of neighborhood parks, a central commons, a waterfront promenade and an entry lake add visual relief and provide open spaces to be used by residents, office workers, and hotel guests.
