Friends Park occupies a small but prominent location at the edge of downtown Glencoe. After extensive public meetings, Teska developed a design featuring handicap accessibility, separate play equipment areas for different age groups, and a new path system and seating design.
A fund raising effort, called the Circle of Friends, raised money to help fund construction costs. As a tribute to those who donated, a special bronze plaque was designed and is displayed in the park.
