Since 1996, Teska has been providing assistance to the City of Greensboro, NC, with the development and implementation of a series of related plans for neighborhoods and corridors.

As follow-up to prior assignments in the East Market Street Corridor, including the adoption of a pedestrian overlay zoning district and design guidelines, Teska has prepared a series of graphics which illustrate the development and redevelopment potential for this historically African-American business district.

Current design studies for the East Market Street Corridor illustrate a new mixed-use development site within the Corridor. The development concept includes first floor retail space and second floor residential units. Vehicular service and parking is integrated into the surrounding area for efficient circulation. Streetscape treatments include designated pedestrian walkways, outdoor plazas, plantings and lighting.
