Teska Associates has enjoyed a long relationship with the Village of Algonquin through the provision of planning and design services. When it was time for Algonquin to create a unique landscape for its new village hall, they asked Teska for assistance.
Teska's goal was to create an arboretum setting which would act as an educatonal tool to the public while providing an attractive setting for the new village hall.
The plan features 23 varieties of shade trees, 8 species of ornamental trees, 12 types of shrubs, along with various evergreen trees, numerous perennials and groundcovers. A crushed granite pathway provides visitors with easy access to the plantings year round.
