The Village of Glenwood has completed the exciting process of updating its Comprehensive Plan. As a community built on history and tradition, the residents, elected and appointed officials, and business owners of the Village of Glenwood were engaged in the planning process to understand what currently works, what doesn't, and where opportunities exist to better the quality-of-life for the residents of the Village and generations to come. Broad community input was received through a brainstorming workshop, surveys, interviews with stakeholders, meetings with neighborhood organizations, a public hearing and guidance by a Plan Commission Subcommittee on Revision of the Comprehensive Plan. As a result of this extensive public engagement, the Village was able to refine its visions and goals for the future, and the plan was adopted by the Village on November 15th, 2011. In the months and years following the adoption of this plan, it will be used to guide the future growth and development of the Village of Glenwood.
