Teska Associates is excited to be working for Green Ventures L.L.C. to design a residential development that incorporates sustainable design principles.
This development, Green at the Spring, is 4 acres and lies in the Northwest district of Highland Park, IL. The site has a unique and rich history as a former water bottling facility that Teska designers embraced and drew upon for inspiration during all phases of the design.
Green at the Spring will be an environmentally responsible development that boasts energy efficient buildings, native landscaping with low watering requirements, the reuses of existing historic structures, and responsible on-site water management. Green at the Spring is an infill development, allowing residents to have a reduced reliance on Automobiles. The site plan was carefully designed to minimize environmental impact by clustering the homes on the site so that the majority of the historically and culturally significant trees will be preserved.
Teska Associates is collaborating with Becker Architects and Greengard Engineering on this project. Teska has provided site design, Landscape Architecture, and rendering services for Green at the Spring.
