Benjamin Carlisle has nine years experience working as a professional planner, including experience in zoning, land use and comprehensive planning, site planning, Tax Increment Financing, economic development, site plan review, and GIS.
Since joining Teska Associates, Inc., Benjamin has conducted demographic, land use, economic and fiscal impact analyses, reviewed residential and mixed-use development proposals, and prepared comprehensive zoning ordinances. Prior to joining Teska, Mr. Carlisle spent four years as planner with the City of Highland Park, IL. There, he provided staff support for the Highland Park Plan Commission, Zoning Board Appeals, Lakefront Commission and Design Review Commission. Responsibilities in Highland Park included zoning ordinance amendments, site plan review, and comprehensive planning. Prior to working for the City of Highland Park, Mr. Carlisle was an economic development consultant for the City of Chicago Planning and Development Department.
