Brett Weidl, LEED AP – Associate
Landscape designer with a passion for beautiful public space, eyes for graphic & visual composition and an acute focus on high quality implementation. Brett graduated from The Ohio State University with honors in 2005 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture. During her time as a student she studied horticulture as an intern at The Chicago Botanic Garden where she assisted in the maintenance of the English Walled Garden and Lakeside Gardens.
Brett spent the next 5 years at Columbus, Ohio based landscape architecture and planning firm, MSI Design (now MKSK). During that time, she was an integral member of the design team for the award winning Scioto Mile Riverfront and Bicentennial Park transformation in downtown Columbus. Other notable projects include streetscapes such as the Allied Insurance Headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, sustainable site design for the award winning Nextedge Technology Park in Springfield, Ohio and campus design plans for the Ithaca College Athletic and Recreation Center.
Her work then took her to Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects in Chicago where she spent 3 years collaborating on a variety of complex project types ranging in scale from large campus design plans, urban public gardens, parks, zoos and the most detailed residential gardens and greenroofs. There she honed her skills in project and construction management while focusing on the creative and fine details that make for a successful built project.
Brett joined Teska in October 2013 and is currently pursuing her licensure as a registered landscape architect in the state of Illinois.
