Taylor LaFave – Associate

Mr. LaFave joined Teska Associates, Inc. in 2017 after earning his Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan. Taylor has planning experience in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors with organizations of all sizes. He has worked for the Urban Land Institute, the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, and was the Editor-in-Chief of the student-run Agora Journal of Urban Planning and Design. He has also worked with a wide variety of communities, from neighborhoods in Detroit to small towns in Illinois.

Taylor’s interests include sustainable land use, zoning reform, urban policy, active transportation, environmental and neighborhood planning, and food systems. He is passionate about public engagement and enjoys using his skills in written and graphic communication, editing, project management, GIS, and development review to work collaboratively with communities as they plan for better futures.
