Mr. Ortega brings to his clients an extensive amount of planning experience covering a wide range of issues. While primarily focused on municipal planning, Mr. Ortega has also worked for private developers. Insights gained from these efforts enhance understanding of a variety of issues relevant to growth management. Prior to joining Teska Associates, Inc., he held positions with McKenna Associates, Inc. in Northville, MI (suburban Detroit), and with SmithGroup JJR in Chicago, Il.

Mr. Ortega's municipal consulting assignments have focused on the creation of comprehensive plans and providing continuous planning services regarding application reviews, rezoning review and zoning ordinance amendments. Mr. Ortega has also had extensive experience with the creation and use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Utilizing GIS, he has provided detailed mapping and analysis for community plans and specific planning related issues. His recent assignments have included development of several comprehensive plans, and zoning and site plan review of new developments.
