MICHAEL
WEAVER, AICP
Associate
Michael is a planner with a varied background in land use planning, community and economic development, public stakeholder relations, and growth management. He is skilled in policy formation, research and analysis, and strategic planning, which he combines with his enthusiasm and creativity on each assignment along with his commitment to sustainability.
Since joining Teska Associates, Inc., Michael has conducted demographic, transportation, land-use, zoning, environmental, and market analyses; carried out Tax-Increment Financing and fiscal impact studies; reviewed residential, office, retail and mixed-use development proposals; managed public and stakeholder participatory processes; and prepared neighborhood and community-wide comprehensive plans for local authorities in the Midwest region.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael worked in the office of the North American Secretariat of the World Association of the Major Metropolises, where he prepared analyses on urban development and governance strategies occurring in major metropolitan regions. In other assignments, he conducted local and regional planning analyses for real estate investors and developers from Canada and the EU on residential and mixed-use projects in the Montreal region. He has also conducted extensive research on globalization’s impact on cities.
Michael holds a Master of Urban Planning degree from McGill University.
