Pervious Pavement

Pervious pavement, which allows water to penetrate to the ground below, is instrumental in recharging groundwater, reducing stormwater runoff, and meeting U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) stormwater regulations. There are many options for pervious paving including porous asphalt, porous concrete, plastic grid systems, and block pavers.

Native Landscaping

Native plants are those that were growing naturally in the area before people introduced plants from distant places.  Native plants provide a beautiful, hardy, drought resistant, low-maintenance landscape that once established, save time and money by eliminating or significantly reducing the need for fertilizers, pesticides, water, and lawn maintenance equipment.

Rain Gardens

A depression planted with natural plants that allows rainwater runoff from areas like roofs, driveways, walkways, and compacted lawn areas to drain naturally.  Rain gardens not only reduce the total amount of water that goes into the municipal sewer system but also cleans rainwater prior to recharging the groundwater.
