A plan is just the beginning for reinvestment at Altgeld Gardens, one of the largest public housing developments in Chicago.

After an intensive run of over 25 resident and stakeholder meetings in just three months, the Master Plan calls for the additional renovation of 528 vacant homes to add to the 1,329 units that have been completed, a new green boulevard, and multiple new or improved amenities, from early childhood to adult education.
