Laying the groundwork for new investment in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood
Thrive Exchange is a community-centered redevelopment strategy anchored at 79th Street and Exchange Avenue in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood. As a finalist for the Pritzker Traubert Foundation Chicago Prize, the project received funding to advance early work, and Teska partnered with the DL3 team to provide pre-development assistance.
Teska coordinated the market study, engagement with local partners, and collaboration with the City of Chicago to help move the vision toward construction. That groundwork is now paying off. The first phase of Thrive Exchange, a $35 million, 76-unit workforce housing development at 7901 S. Exchange Avenue, is now open, bringing new homes and fresh momentum to the corridor.
