Maly loves nature and views landscape architecture as a way to help people connect with and appreciate the outdoors. With this ethos, her research on universal access in natural areas revealed how empathy, collaboration, creative problem solving, and providing beyond design standard minimums allows the most people to access and enjoy outdoor places. Maly connects people to the outdoors with projects ranging from streetscapes to bike trails, plazas, and parks.
