Reclaiming an underutilized former railroad embankment for recreation, gathering, and connectivity

Located along a former railroad embankment, this area has historically acted as a barrier between the neighborhood, businesses, and Evanston Township High School. This project expands the existing Mason Park property while adding bike and pedestrian routes that reconnect the West Evanston Community. Teska is leading the design and community outreach with an emphasis on safety, connectivity, access to nature, and providing features and gathering spaces currently unavailable in the neighborhood.
