Outdoor Patio, Landscaped Terraces, & Rooftop Gardens Help Transform NorthShore Independent Living Community
Tamarisk NorthShore, a 240 unit active adult residential community, recently opened for new residents in the fall of 2020, almost one year from the start of the project in 2019.
A relatively mild winter allowed for on-going work and construction to progress. In the spring, the grounds and rooftop gardens were prepped for waterproofing, hardscape, grading, lighting, soil import, and landscape planting. The final phases of the project continued to move forward in the face of COVID-19, with the team following safety precautions and health protocols.

Moving Forward in Light of COVID-19...
Construction crews performed their work in staged schedules to ensure distancing. Each day started with a nurse checking temperatures and general health of crews before being admitted to the building. Owners and consultants remained off-site until the end of the day, after crews left to review work. If any symptoms were reported at health checks or following, all work was halted and the job put on pause for a determined span of days by the owner and general contractor.

Teska staff is proud to see this project evolving and participating from the initial site plan approval through implementation. Our team's involvement began with site planning from concept and entitlement approvals, included site and landscape planning, and continued through implementation and marketing. We have so enjoyed seeing the project evolve from ideas on paper that transformed into a beautiful place for people to live, socialize, and enjoy.
