Telling the Village’s story through connected spaces, walkable paths, and gathering places

Bartlett's early landscapes were filled with lush forests, colorful prairies, and bubbling creeks, including Brewsters Creek and Winding Creek. Landscape enhancements at the Depot Museum, Railroad Avenue walkway, and Town Center Plaza celebrate those early resources through a naturalized design of curvilinear walkways, limestone boulders, native plantings, rain gardens, and an abstracted creek water feature.

Landscaped pathways comfortably connect the Metra Station, Depot Museum, Railroad Avenue walkway, and Town Center Plaza. At the Historic Depot Museum, native plantings, rain gardens, natural stone, and interpretive signs enrich the setting. Custom water features, a pedestrian bridge, shaded seating, and native landscapes define the Town Center Plaza. A design-build delivery model ensured competitive bidding and fast-tracked construction.
