Positioning Lincolnshire's key sites and corridors for a stronger, more resilient future

As pandemic-accelerated market and demographic shifts reshaped the region, the Village of Lincolnshire faced new challenges: filling office and retail space, attracting new development, and sustaining the high-quality services residents expect. Teska partnered with the Village on a plan that builds on its strategic sites and assets to meet these challenges head-on.

The plan sets out to transform Lincolnshire's main commercial areas and corridor into "a place you can spend the weekend," with expanded dining, entertainment, and recreation. Lincolnshire will remain a family-oriented community, and market research, demographic analysis, and community input pointed to a need for new housing types that serve smaller households and empty nesters. Detailed subarea and corridor plans guide investments and policies for underused and high-visibility sites, including a new mixed-use center that keeps existing office space in operation. The plan also strengthens the Village's natural systems through open space investments and pinpoints key connections to complete its trail network.
